Rather than simply listing the Ten Commandments, this book focuses on how they are lived in real-life settings.
Each two-page spread features one commandment. The commandment itself is spelled out on one page, featuring the commandment and meaning from Luther's Small Catechism. The art and speech bubbles on the facing page will feature multi-ethnic children living out the commandment through what they say and/or do.

A letter from the author to the child reader explains that we follow and do God's Commandments out of love and gratitude for what God has done for us. We follow and do because we want to, not because we have to. It clearly articulates that we are forgiven for the times we sin by not following the commandments because Jesus, our Lord and Savior, died for the forgiveness of our sins.
