In temple days, sweet incense containing Frankincense and other spices, was placed on the Inner Altar of the Tabernacle and burned morning and evening. It speaks of intercession. Frankincense, one of the three prophetic gifts given to the Messiah at His birth, represents His role our High Priest, and our intercessor. Heb 7:25 "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them."
