In "Trial by Fire", Pastor Nick Foster's church burns to the ground, and in the rubble, a young black man is found dead of a gunshot wound. Since the church is racially mixed, it isn't clear whether the fire is a racist hate crime or a cover-up for murder. Paramedic Issie Mattreaux thinks she knows who did it, but exposing the killers might mean exposing people she loves.
