Taking Time Together contains resources for building and conducting a series of six enjoyable teens-with-parents experiences that facilitate communication on faith issues. Twenty-three attractively designed handout masters are included for reproducing the creative activities and games, including a complete board game called Highway to Heaven.These faith-sharing experiences are best used to complement current faith formation programs for young people, such as parish or school religious education, youth ministry gatherings, retreats, and confirmation preparation. The experiences are presented as parts of one whole event and work well in that fashion; however, each experience is independent from the others and can be used as a separate activity within a faith formation program. The experiences have been piloted successfully in both rural and city parishes with junior high and tenth-grade teens and their parents
